Turning a Trading Plan Into a Measurable Review System

Many trading plans are written once and opened only after something goes wrong. They describe admirable intentions but do not provide a clear baseline for reviewing a real session. A measurable plan translates intention into rules that can be compared with execution, context and behavior.

Section 01

A plan needs more structure than a motivational statement

‘Trade with discipline’ cannot be audited. ‘Stop after five trades’ can. ‘Avoid revenge trading’ is important but broad. ‘After a loss, wait for the next valid setup and do not increase size’ creates a behavior that can be checked against timestamps and contract load.

PRAETIR separates the plan into base rules, markets, risk, setups, entries, management, re-entry, no-go conditions and psychology. The categories make gaps visible and give the later review a defined baseline.

Section 02

Evidence must come before interpretation

A trustworthy review starts with what happened: trades, timing, size, screenshots, daily metrics and the trader's own notes. The plan supplies the expected behavior. Only then should the system interpret whether execution aligned with the plan and what pattern may be developing.

This order matters for AI-assisted review. If the system starts with a generic coaching answer, the output may sound useful without being connected to the session. When the evidence and rules are already available, the AI can explain a specific difference instead of offering generic advice.

Section 03

Trader memory makes the review personal without changing the facts

Two traders can make the same execution mistake for different reasons. One may overtrade after missing a move; another may lose structure late in the session. A persistent trader profile keeps markets, style, goals, recurring behavior and current development focus available to the review.

The memory should adapt the explanation and priority, not invent a result. Execution evidence remains the source of truth. The profile helps SENTINEL AI choose language and focus that fit the individual trader's history.

Section 04

Compliance should identify the exact rule and moment

A compliance score is only useful when the trader can trace it back to a rule. If the session exceeded the maximum trade count, the review should show the limit and the trades that came after it. If a re-entry occurred too quickly, the review should identify the relevant rule and timestamp.

Specific evidence turns compliance into a coaching tool. The trader can disagree, correct the data or refine the rule. A black-box score offers none of those options and creates false precision.

Section 05

Close the loop with a current focus

The plan defines expected behavior, the trading day captures evidence and the review explains the difference. The final step is a current focus that can be carried into the next session. Coaching tasks can keep that focus visible until the behavior changes.

This is the role of SENTINEL AI: not a chatbot beside the platform, but an intelligence layer connected to the trader's execution, plan, journal and development history. Each review becomes part of the next one.
