Name the role of each layer
VWAP describes a volume-weighted average from the chosen start. AMA shows an adaptively smoothed price path. The order-flow heatmap displays visible liquidity through time. An available GEX layer adds options context. These quantities answer different questions.
Record the view actually used
Record the ATAS or PRAETIR version, instrument, contract month, bar type, time window and displayed indicator settings. Do not assume settings transfer unchanged between the PRAETIR web chart and ATAS heatmap. Labels, period interpretation and available controls can depend on the interface used.
Describe a contact precisely
A synthetic review entry might read: At 14:32 UTC, price reached the displayed VWAP. AMA was below it. Visible liquidity remained in the marked price area, and price subsequently traded higher. Add screenshots before and after contact and mark the time of your decision.
This description does not establish a general buying rule. Record contacts where price and liquidity behaved differently as well. An image that looks successful later must not replace the original observation.
Read timestamps and data availability
Check the visible timestamp for GEX and market data separately. A layer based on older data was not necessarily produced at the same time as the current price. Record which information was actually available when the decision was made.
